Elon Musk, an Entrepreneur Who Makes a Quick Buck ‘Creatively’; His Recent Events

For those who are not familiar with him: Elon Musk is an entrepreneur who owns multiple companies – Tesla Motors, Space X, The Boring Company, and Neuralink. He has been working on numerous creative projects, including hyperloop.

His events immediately grabbed the public’s eye, mainly because of its creativity and oddity.the beginning of 2018, The Boring Company created a flamethrower named ‘Not-A-Flamethrower’ - which has a paradoxical name - with a limited quantity of 20,000 flamethrowers. It launched on January 27th and went out of stock within five days. Although each complementary product, such as the fire extinguisher or the user manual were individually sold, all products were completely sold out. After launching ‘Not-A-Flamethrower,’ The Boring Company raised $112.5 in equity. The brand’s ‘Not-A-Flamethrower’ was in fact the beginning of The Boring Company, which is surprising because this company is a tunnel-boring company. They work on projects such as their current tunnel network system that prevents traffic congestions. But even more surprising - they made a whopping $1 million with the sales of a $20 logo hat before the sales of 'Not-A-Flamethrower.’

The Boring Company’s ‘Not-A-Flamethrower’ was just the beginning of Elon Musk’s oddity. When Tesla Motors introduced its new Cybertruck model, Elon Musk threw a steel ball on Cybertruck’s ‘Armor glass’ to prove its solidity and safety. However, when the glass shattered, the occurrence became caricatured on social media, such as memes and mockeries. Elon Musk didn’t take this as a damage to Tesla. After the launching event, he uploaded a video of the previously done test-trial on the Cybertruck’s ‘Armor glass,’ showing the glass didn’t break and explained that the glass only broke because the official trial was done on the damaged glass from the test-trial. But his main objective for responding to the issue was not to alleviate it, but to use this occurrence as a business. Musk took advantage of the immense media attention as Tesla Motors started selling graphic t-shirts with an image of shattered glass. The controversy over the failed trial of the Cybertruck turned out to be a blessing in disguise as it was especially effective in promoting the recent Cybertruck model and Tesla Motors.

More recently, he released an EDM song, “Don’t Doubt ur Vibe,” he composed himself. In fact, this isn’t the first song by Elon Musk. “RIP Harambe” was the first song Musk released. The structure and the lyrics of the song primarily consist of “Don’t doubt your vibe, it knows it’s true”. which is a strange but interesting feature. But the most distinct feature is the album cover: an image of Tesla Motor’s Cybertruck on Mars. The cover art shows us that he’s ‘expanding’ his field of creativity which also foresees his new business, ‘Emo G Records (Musk’s studio name and Soundcloud account).’

Overall, Elon Musk is a creative, affirmative, and innovative entrepreneur. However, beyond just an entrepreneur, he’s a person who enjoys novel challenges and actively expresses his inner thoughts. His creative projects further raise the public’s expectation of Musk’s potential.
